Job Summary:
We are seeking a Field Engineer/Desktop Support Engineer to provide onsite technical support for IT infrastructure and operational systems in an airport environment. This role involves hands-on support, troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and relocation of IT equipment and related technologies.
Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment and interacting directly with end users, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite desktop and technical support for hardware, software, and peripheral devices
- Perform installation, move, add, and change (IMAC) activities for IT equipment
- Troubleshoot Windows workstations, printers, phones, and related devices
- Support network-connected devices and assist with basic network troubleshooting
- Configure and maintain office and operational technology equipment
- Support airline/airport operational systems and display equipment
- Handle equipment setup, replacement, and relocation activities
- Document issues, resolutions, and service activities accurately
- Provide excellent customer service and communication to end users
- Participate in occasional travel, after-hours support, weekend work, or on-call activities as required
Required Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of hands-on technical support or field support experience
- Strong knowledge of desktop support, hardware troubleshooting, and Windows environments
- Experience supporting peripherals, printers, phones, or network-connected devices
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Comfortable working onsite in operational or industrial settings
Preferred Qualifications:
- A+ Certification or equivalent technical certification
- Experience with deskside support or field service environments
- Previous airport, airline, manufacturing, healthcare, or enterprise support experience is a plus
Additional Requirements:
- Candidates must be comfortable with background checks, fingerprinting, and drug screening requirements.
- Some travel may be required, including occasional overnight trips expenses to be bared by the employer.
