Position: Surveillance Technician #26554

Blue Chip Talent
, in partnership with a transportation and infrastructure organization, is seeking a skilled Security Surveillance Systems Administrator
. This role is responsible for administering enterprise video management and surveillance systems, maintaining supporting infrastructure, and troubleshooting system, camera, network, and performance issues. This is an onsite position with after-hours/on-call availability required.

Job Duties
  • Administer, configure, update, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise Video Management System (VMS) applications
  • Manage VMS architecture, including directory, archiving, media gateway, storage, and failover components
  • Monitor system health, performance, video availability, and storage utilization
  • Configure, update, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise IP surveillance cameras
  • Maintain and troubleshoot servers, storage, networking, and other VMS infrastructure components
  • Integrate cameras, encoders, access control, analytics, and related security technologies with VMS platforms
  • Manage user roles, permissions, authentication, and audit tracking
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and provide VMS system training to internal users
Skills & Experience Required
  • 2+ years of experience administering an enterprise VMS or CCTV platform
  • 2+ years of experience administering enterprise IP surveillance cameras
  • 2+ years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting VMS-related infrastructure
  • Experience troubleshooting video loss, network connectivity, application, storage, and performance issues
  • Working knowledge of enterprise servers, networking, storage, and security surveillance infrastructure
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field OR high school diploma with 4+ additional years of demonstrated enterprise infrastructure experience
  • Ability to provide after-hours/on-call technical support as required
  • Experience with enterprise VMS architecture, high availability, archiving, media gateways, and failover
  • Experience with Windows Server, virtualization platforms, enterprise servers, network switches, NAS storage, and SQL databases
  • Experience integrating cameras, encoders, access control systems, video analytics, and other security technologies
  • Knowledge of video streaming, encryption, recording, storage, and retention best practices
  • Working knowledge of Power Shell, Python, or similar scripting and automation technologies
  • Familiarity with enterprise authentication and networking protocols used in VMS environments
  • Familiarity with CAD software and enterprise IT service management/ticketing platforms
  • Industry certifications in enterprise video management systems or IP surveillance camera technologies
