Position: Network Engineer, Detroit, MI, US
  • Design, implement, manage, monitor, and support all network systems and solutions.
  • Provide 24x7x365 support resolution for enterprise services as needed.
  • Implement and support projects as required to meet TS goals and objectives.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedure (SOP) documentation.
  • Support Business Continuity testing and initiatives.
  • Provide reports and metrics for performance analysis and growth planning.
  • Adhere to all security practices and policies.
  • Perform related duties as directed.

Education Requirement

  • B.S in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. OR
  • High School Diploma with Minimum four (4) years working in an enterprise environment with the technologies outlined

Minimum Qualifications:

Four (4) or more years of experience with design, implementation, daily management (configuring, updating, securing), monitoring, and support of the following:

  • Cisco Routing and Switching
  • Access, Distribution, and Core
  • Catalyst Center
  • BGP / EIGRP / OSPF
  • Switch Stacking
  • PPOE+
  • Optics
  • Collapsed Core
  • Network Services
  • LAN/WAN/W-LAN
  • VoiP
  • Internet
  • VPN
  • Telecommunications
  • Ethernet
  • Fiber Optics

Three (3) or more years of experience with design, implementation, daily management (configuring, updating, securing), monitoring, and support of the following:

  • Firewalls
  • Palo Alto
  • Fortinet
  • Security Services
  • Security Appliances
  • MFA and SSO
  • Data Center and IDF Services
  • System Racking
  • KVM

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of common networking protocols and topologies.
  • Knowledge of Lifecycle Management processes.
  • Knowledge of common enterprise network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Knowledge of Telecommunications Standards, Best Practices, and Solutions.
  • Knowledge of Data Center Standards, Best Practices, and Solutions.
  • Knowledge of Public Cloud networking Standards, Best Practices, and Solutions.
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity Standards, Best Practices, and Solutions.

One (1) or more Certifications from the following list (or equivalent):

  • PCNSA (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator)
  • PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer)
  • CISSP (Certified Information System Security Professional)
  • CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
