As a data scientist, you’re excited at the prospect of unlocking the secrets held by a data set, and you’re fascinated by the possibilities presented by IoT, machine learning, and artifi cia l intelligence. As a data scientist at Booz Allen, you can help turn these complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges.

On our team, you’ll use your analytical skills and data science knowledge to create real-world impact. You’ll work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You’ll develop algorithms and systems and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers to help clients make informed decisions.

Ultimately, you’ll provide a deep understanding of the data, what it all means, and how it can be used.

You Have:

• Experience performing quantitative analysis, develop ing visualizations, and processing complex data to create data-driven insights
• Experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages, like R and Python
• Experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources, including using SQL to conduct complex database queries for extract, transform, and load ( ETL ) procedures
• Experience develop ing and maintaining scalable data stores that supply big data in forms needed for business analysis
• Experience with communicating information to an audience with varying technical
• Experience with source control and collaboration sof tware, including Git or Atlassian tools
• Knowledge of Machine Learning, Artifi cia l Intelligence, or Natural Language Processing
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

Nice If You Have:

• Experience deploying data workflows and models within platforms such as Palantir Foundry or Gotham
• Experience working with cloud environments, including AWS and Azure and evaluating architectural tradeoffs and designing robust applications for scalable use
• Experience working with LLMs, generative AI systems, or agentic frameworks, espe cia lly for task automation
