Attorney

A well-established electric and gas utility is seeking a Senior Attorney to join its legal team and support complex business initiatives, strategic transactions, and commercial agreements. This role offers exposure to sophisticated legal matters and close collaboration with business stakeholders across multiple functions.

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements and transaction-related documents
• Support mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and new business initiatives, including due diligence and deal execution
• Provide practical, business-oriented legal guidance on commercial and strategic matters
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to structure and execute business transactions
• Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Independently handle complex legal matters with appropriate oversight

• 4+ years of experience in commercial transactions, M&A, business development, or related areas
• Experience gained in a law firm and/or in-house legal department
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
• Demonstrated ability to support scalable transactions and strategic initiatives
• Graduate of accredited law school and admitted to the state bar of permanent residence within a reasonable time
• Exposure to regulated industries such as energy, utilities, infrastructure, or industrial sectors
• Experience with complex commercial agreements or transaction structuring
