Senior Trial Attorney / Personal Auto – No-Fault

Detroit, MI / Hybrid Schedule

Salary: $150K - $200K

• Responsible for handling litigation files from inception, through the entire discovery process, to the conclusion of the file.
• Service of pleadings, written discovery, retainment of experts, attendance at depositions, attendance at court and other hearings, and preparation of the file for trial.
• Responsible for taking on trial cases handled by others and assigned to the successful candidate for the purposes of trial.
• Responsible for communicating the status of the file regularly to claims.
• Possess excellent academic credentials, outstanding written and oral advocacy skills, and strong software/technological skills, including competency in Word, Outlook, Google, and Westlaw.

• Knowledge of local and state discovery rules, trial procedures, and applicable substantive law commensurate with the level of experience.
• Ability to take full responsibility for files and handle a modified caseload while also trying cases.
• Proven track record of trial skills and techniques.
• Strong negotiation, research, and trial skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment with other attorneys, adjusters, claims professionals, and support staff.
• Must have a law degree from an A.B.A. accredited law school and excellent academic credentials.
• Must have an active law license to practice in Michigan and be a member in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan.
