Attorney - Insurance Defense

Locations: Southfield, MI & Grand Rapids, MI

Practice Areas: Subrogation & No-Fault Litigation

Experience Level: 0-5 Years (Ideally), Open for 5-12 years as well with the right experience

A well-established Insurance Defense firm is seeking motivated Associate Attorneys to join our growing Subrogation Practice Group and No-Fault Litigation Practice Group in our Southfield and Grand Rapids offices. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys early in their careers who are looking to build long-term expertise in Insurance Defense. While prior Insurance Defense experience is preferred, it is not required.

The firm offers structured training, strong mentorship, and hands‑on litigation exposure to ensure professional growth and advancement.

• Handle subrogation and no‑fault litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal briefs
• Conduct legal research and case analysis
• Attend court hearings, mediations, and depositions
• Participate in discovery and trial preparation
• Work collaboratively with senior attorneys and clients

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in Michigan
• 0-5 years of legal experience
• Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast‑paced environment

Candidates without direct Insurance Defense experience are encouraged to apply, particularly if they have experience in:
