Role Description

The Logistics Specialist will manage day‑to‑day inbound and outbound material flows, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of components, finished goods, and equipment. This is a full‑time, on‑site role based in the Detroit Metropolitan Area. Responsibilities include coordinating shipments with carriers, managing export documentation, tracking deliveries, and resolving logistics issues to minimize delays and costs. The role will support production and supply chain teams by maintaining accurate inventory records, optimizing transportation plans, and ensuring compliance with applicable trade and safety regulations.

The Logistics Specialist will also collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to improve logistics processes, support customer requirements, and maintain high service levels.

Qualifications
  • Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to coordinate with carriers, internal teams, and external partners while maintaining professional, responsive interactions.
  • Analytical Skills to track logistics metrics, interpret data, troubleshoot delays, and propose process improvements.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Management, including inventory control, transportation planning, and coordination with procurement and production teams.
  • Experience with Export processes, documentation, and compliance with relevant regulations and trade requirements.
  • Familiarity with logistics or ERP systems and proficiency in common office software (e.g., Excel, Word, email tools).
  • Ability to work on‑site in the Detroit Metropolitan Area, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively in a fast‑paced manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Prior experience in logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or automotive/energy storage industries preferred.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
