Position: Operations & Customer Solutions Associate (MI)

Operations & Customer Solutions Associate (MI)

The Operations Associate position performs tasks and functions to achieve customer, supplier, and vendor satisfaction, productivity, schedule adherence, and economic goals.

Responsibilities
  • Enter customer, supplier and vendor registrations in the internal ERP system in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Accept customer purchase orders and enter sales TC entries in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Submit quotes to customers and prepare forecast requests in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Process warehouse releases and customer ASNs in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Create and process invoices to customers in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Work with Sales, Team Leader, and others to order appropriate amounts of inventory in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Create and send purchase orders to suppliers.
  • Request and process supplier invoices, track and update supplier pricing in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Prepare logistics quotes and coordinate logistic details in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Manage material inbound arrangements in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Process and post inland freight and outward logistics entries in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Check and post duties (LIV) in an accurate and timely manner.
  • File all necessary paperwork in the document management system in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor and resolve rejection issues.
  • Process sample, trial and service orders in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Adhere to schedules, notify and escalates action as warranted; and communicate issues to direct supervisor, salesperson, sales team, and other business partners in real-time.
  • Complete all tasks in a timely and accurate manner to allow for timely monthly and annual closing.
  • Participate in daily, weekly, monthly and annual planning process as appropriate.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other departments, teams, and employees to foster aid and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and take prompt corrective action where necessary or suggest alternative courses of action which may be taken. Keep appropriate individuals informed in a timely manner of issues which may impact the sales department, the company, or financial results in any way.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
  • Work with technologies the Company developed to perform necessary job functions. Provide helpful input and knowledge as it relates to their work and duties. Examples of current technologies include but are not limited to:
    Proprietary ERP, EDI, CRM, Document Management Systems, and SAP.
Schedule and Work Arrangement

Monday to Friday. May require early mornings, evenings or weekends as needed. 9:00am-6:00pm with 1 hour unpaid lunch break. Hybrid (Tues, Wed and Thurs in office); we may ask this person to come to the office 5 days a week in office during the training period.

Salary & Benefits

Compensation: $27-35/hour. Bonus:
Not eligible.

Qualifications
  • Associate degree in business, operations, sales, logistics, or equivalent.
  • 3 years of experience in a similar operations environment.
  • Working knowledge of automotive supplier industry preferred.
  • Competency with SAP, ERP systems, and Document Management tools.

    This position may require occasional standing, walking, and the ability to lift up to 10-15 pounds. The role involves frequent use of a computer and other office equipment, as well as sitting for extended periods of time.
