Sr. Global Supply Manager – Wiring Harnesses
Lucid is an innovative automotive company dedicated to creating exceptional mobility experiences through technology and sustainability. The Sr. Global Supply Manager will oversee global sourcing for wiring harnesses and related electrical and mechanical components, supporting multiple vehicle systems and ensuring on‑time delivery across the organization.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with Engineering, Supplier Quality, NPI, and PM to identify and source qualified suppliers that meet Lucid’s expectations and timelines.
- Create RFQs, analyze quotations, and develop sourcing recommendations balancing cost, quality, lead time, and technical factors.
- Negotiate contracts, including parts pricing, tooling costs, engineering services, NDAs, and MSAs.
- Work with suppliers and Engineering to release parts into production and issue POs for prototype parts and tooling.
- Track supplier responsible ECRs and Clear To Builds.
- Manage supplier development and tooling timelines, ensuring part availability for prototype builds and start of production; develop solutions to delays or problems.
- Maintain overall supplier relationships and act as the point of contact for commercial issues, including internal reporting on sourcing status, parts availability, and cost.
- Perform supplier assessments, audits, and site inspections; develop process improvement plans, drive implementation, and monitor performance metrics.
- Travel 15–25% to visit suppliers for business and program reviews.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, or related discipline (Master’s preferred; equivalent experience considered).
- 5+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or engineering for wiring harnesses and related components.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes for electrical distribution systems and assembly.
- Product launch experience preferred.
- Self‑starter with adaptability, strong analytical, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and resilience to manage urgent requests with limited information.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, JIRA, Confluence, and ERP systems (SAP or equivalent).
- Creative and effective problem resolution and ability to maintain supplier and internal relationships.
