Logistics Insight Corporation (LINC), a subsidiary of Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc., is a leading third party logistics provider (3PL) that offers a broad scope of services throughout the entire supply chain. LINC's experienced management team, with its state-of-the-art technology, provides customized logistics solutions to its customers resulting in proven efficiencies and savings.
** Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
*** Act as the on-site liaison between Universal Logistics and GM production teams.
* Monitor inbound and outbound material flow to ensure on-time delivery to GM assembly lines.
* Track inventory levels, reconcile shortages/overages, and address any discrepancies in a timely manner.
* Coordinate with GM production schedulers and Universal dispatch/planning teams to align supply chain activities.
* Facilitate communication regarding expedited shipments, quality holds, or supply chain disruptions.
* Support problem-solving efforts for material shortages, damaged goods, or late deliveries.
* Maintain accurate records and prepare daily/weekly material status reports.
* Ensure compliance with GM and Universal Logistics policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
* Participate in regular production and logistics meetings, providing updates and recommendations.
* Build and maintain strong professional relationships with GM contacts, Universal management, and third-party providers.
** The ideal candidate should possess the following:
*** Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (preferred).
* 2–4 years of experience in material coordination, logistics, or automotive supply chain.
* Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and just-in-time (JIT) material delivery.
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to serve as a bridge between multiple stakeholders.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP/MRP systems.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
