Mid America Pet Food Makes Leadership Changes

Texas-based manufacturer of super premium pet nutrition brands appoints chief supply chain officer and new chief financial officer, and adds VP of financial planning and analytics.

The company is manufacturer of premium pet food brands including VICTOR Super Premium Pet Food, Nature's Logic, Eagle Mountain Pet Food, and Wayne Feeds.

Mid America Pet Food, parent company and manufacturer of premium pet food brands including VICTOR Super Premium Pet Food, Nature's Logic, Eagle Mountain Pet Food and Wayne Feeds, has announced the appointments of Brandon McKay as chief financial officer and Dan Baker as chief supply chain officer.

Baker officially joins the Mid America Pet Food C-suite after leading the manufacturer's supply chain on an interim basis for the past year. During that time, Baker has driven significant change management across their supply chain including operations, quality, safety, customer service, performance tracking and procurement. A 30-year veteran of the pet food industry, he previously worked with Mars Pet Nutrition and Red Collar Pet Foods.

Newly appointed CFO McKay brings more than 20 years of experience leading finance, accounting, information technology, and accounts receivable teams for consumer-packaged goods brands including Flagstone Foods, a nut and trail mix manufacturer, and General Mills. At Mid America Pet Food, he will lead the finance team to continue driving sustainable growth for the brands in Mid America Pet Food's portfolio.

Further bolstering the finance team is Collin Rooney in the newly created role of vice president of financial planning & analytics (FP&A) and data analytics. Rooney, who has been with the company since 2022, will work to develop the brand's FP&A and data analytics capabilities. Before joining the company in 2022, Rooney worked with Pet People and Abercrombie & Fitch.
