- 310T License and/or Truck & Coach exposure required
- Responsible for coaching, mentoring, scheduling, monitoring attendance, conflict resolution, learning and development for a team of employees
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the shop and keep the flow of work constant
- Ensure time cards are correct, up-to-date, and the job description matches the employee’s assigned work
- Answer questions and assist technicians with troubleshooting
- Organize and schedule labor in the workshop or field
- Train apprentices in proper work procedures
- Verify the level of quality on completed projects by technicians
- Create quotes for required repairs
- Research warranties to determine if the manufacturer still has responsibility
- Ensure pre‑delivery inspections are completed
- Foster a culture of safety with appropriate leadership
- Promote health and safety awareness through instruction, information, training and supervision to ensure safe performance of employees
- Ensure technicians wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment
- Experience:
3‑4 years of relevant leadership experience - Education:
Trade certification or Journeyman Red Seal with On/Off Highway, Heavy Equipment, or Material Handling experience - Detroit/Allison experience, plus experience with computers and various diagnostic software
- Drive to lead a team of shop and field technicians
