The OpportunityAs a senior consultant on our environment and natural resources (ENR) team
, you will play a leading role in shaping policy solutions related to Michigan’s environment, infrastructure, and natural resources. This is an ideal role for an experienced professional seeking:

You’ll lead projects that inform decision-makers and strengthen communities through research, data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and meeting facilitation.
What You’ll Do Project Leadership and Strategic CounselAs the lead or core team member driving successful project execution and client satisfaction, you’ll:
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, directing the scope of work and leading solution development
- Think strategically to connect clients with relevant information and actionable solutions
- Navigate and solve client concerns, ensuring high-quality deliverables are completed on time and on budget
- Identify new project opportunities and lead the development of proposals
To translate complex data into clear, strategic guidance, you’ll:
- Conduct, translate, and analyze public policy research related to local, state, and national policy
- Collect, analyze, and summarize quantitative and qualitative data
- Frame research questions in a concise manner that is valid and useful to decision-makers
- Articulate findings in a clear, concise manner for diverse audiences
To foster a balance of excellent work and collegiality, you’ll:
- Coach and collaborate with team members to ensure timely, quality completion of tasks
- Foster a supportive and creative working environment for all colleagues
- Deliver a minimum of 1,250 hours of client services annually
- Be occasionally available beyond regular work hours to respond to firm and staff needs
- Bachelor’s degree (public policy, environmental studies, economics, political science, or related field preferred); master’s degree preferred
- Six years of relevant experience
- Experience leading projects, working directly with clients, and mentoring or supervising team members
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Experience with other computer software is a plus, including familiarity with AI, ArcGIS, Tableau, or SPSS
- Curious and eager to learn
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Analytical and thoughtful problem-solver
- Clear and professional communicator
- Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset
Salary Range:$89,240–$133,860 (based on education and experience)

While PSC does not have strict in-office expectations, senior consultants should anticipate spending two to three days per week in our Lansing or Detroit office for client and firm meetings.
