The Assistant Market Leader plays a key leadership role in delivering a consistent and exceptional customer experience while owning daily operations across multiple locations within an assigned market. This role partners closely with the Market Leader to drive sales performance, manage inventory, develop team members, and ensure operational excellence at every stop.

As a people leader, you will recruit, train, and motivate a seasonal team while taking full ownership of scheduling, reporting, and on-the-ground execution. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working outdoors, and is ready to take real responsibility in a growing retail operation.

Each Assistant Market Leader operates as the primary owner of their assigned market, with full accountability for daily operations, team performance, customer experience, and local sales results. While partnered with a centralized Market Leader for strategic guidance and escalation, this role functions with a high level of autonomy, decision-making authority, and accountability. This seasonal position typically runs approximately May to August, making it the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the sweetest part of the year and spread joy along the way!

Responsibilities Market Ownership & Leadership Own the end-to-end performance of your assigned market, serving as the primary on-the-ground decision-maker for operations, team leadership, and customer experience.

Escalate complex or strategic issues to the Market Leader while independently managing day-to-day execution.

Recruiting & Hiring Oversee the hiring pipeline for seasonal roles, including reviewing applications, interviewing candidates, and partnering with the Market Leader to extend offers and build a high-performing team.

Marketing & Business Partnerships Develop and maintain partnerships with local businesses and community organizations to increase brand awareness, customer engagement, and market-level sales.

Team Leadership & Development Onboard, train, lead, and develop a seasonal team through a customer-centric lens while upholding The Peach Truck brand standards.

Establish clear goals and expectations, provide regular feedback, and hold team members accountable for performance and conduct.

Celebrate wins and collaborate with the Market Leader on performance management, including coaching, warnings, and performance improvement plans when needed.

Scheduling & Workforce Planning Create and manage weekly schedules based on business needs, customer traffic, and operational priorities.

Submit schedules to the Market Leader for alignment and approval prior to posting.

Operational Excellence Oversee daily operations including inventory management, merchandising, replenishment, safety, compliance, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Ensure all locations operate in compliance with Peach Truck standards and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Driving & Transportation Safely operate rental vehicles to and from stops, including transporting passengers and equipment.

Monitor traffic and location conditions to adjust stop setups as needed and complete incident reporting when required.

Setup & Logistics Oversee the setup and teardown of each stop, including organizing tables, tents, signage, sellable merchandise and equipment (50+ lbs).Manage all aspects of location logistics, including communication with location contacts and addressing operational issues such as emergencies, regulatory visits, and site constraints.

Sales & Market Performance Understand market-level sales goals and execute daily and weekly plans to drive performance.

Lead your team in merchandising, upselling, and customer engagement to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.

Analyze category trends and customer behavior to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

Reporting & Analytics Review operational and sales data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.

Develop action plans and share insights and recommendations with leadership.

Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older and authorized to work in the United States.
