We specialize in joining metals: from the standard 1018 carbon and stainless steels to the more exotic aerospace-grade aluminum, titanium, copper, nickel and cobalt alloys. From small-lot prototype development to large volume turnkey production, we are a contract manufacturer that consistently meets customer specification and timing requirements.

Job Function:

SWS-Trimac, Inc is seeking to fill a need for a CNC Okuma Lathe Operator & Programmer. Successful candidates will be a key team member in our machine shop.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be independently mobile.
• Perform job/tool setups on Okuma CNC lathes.
• The employee is also required to interact with a computer(s) utilizing company software and communicate with co-workers.
• Thorough understanding of the Okuma control is preferred.
• Ability to work with limited direction and supervision.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Thorough understanding of GD&T
• Familiarity with a variety of tooling and fixturing/work holding.
• Good math skills.
• Ability to communicate to Quality Department regarding first article and random inspections.
• Excellent understanding of manufacturing equipment, ability to understand function of equipment, and each of the machines capabilities.
• Verbal Communication with supervisors and other employees.
• Functional and Technical Skills regarding, Tooling, Attention to Detail, and proper Judgment.

Education / Experience:

• High School diploma/GED Equivalent Required.
• Associate degree in Machine Tool Trade a plus.
• Job Shop or Prototype experience a plus.
• Journeyman tool and die maker experience a plus.
  
  Five (5) years of experience in related position in the machine tool industry required.

• Employment subject to pre-employment and random Alcohol and Drug Screening.

• Candidate must have a valid driver's license.
