Oversees daily production operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality manufacturing of food products. Leads production teams, manages schedules, and ensures compliance with food safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily production activities to meet output, quality, and safety goals
- Supervise, train, and support production staff
- Maintain compliance with HACCP, GMPs, and FDA/USDA requirements
- Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams
- Ensure proper inventory levels of raw materials and packaging
- Enforce safety protocols and support incident investigations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
- 3–5+ years of experience in food manufacturing (bakery, beverage or dairy)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety programs and regulatory requirements
- Experience with Lean/5S or similar improvement tools
- Requires time on the production floor in varying temperatures
