Tool Room Supervisor - Otsego Area

Salary Range: $66,000 - $97,000 depending on experience

We partner with manufacturers across Otsego seeking Tool Room Supervisors who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

• Supervise tool room staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and calibration of all tooling and equipment.
• Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures and best practices within the tool room.
• Collaborate with production and engineering departments to support manufacturing operations.
• Develop and maintain accurate records of tooling usage, maintenance, and repair history.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for tool room efficiency and cost reduction.

• 5+ years experience in a tool room environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven expertise in precision machining, grinding, EDM, and CNC operations.
• Strong knowledge of tooling design, fabrication, repair, and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to train, mentor, and motivate a team.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Proficiency in using Solid Works or other CAD software for fixture design and modification.
• Certification in a relevant field, such as Six Sigma Green Belt or similar.
• Demonstrated ability to train and mentor junior technicians.
• Experience with CNC programming and operation.
