For our client, we are seeking a Ames Plant Director to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space.

This role will provide strategic leadership for a manufacturing site, driving operational performance, workplace safety, and continuous improvement across production and support functions. The position will partner closely with supply chain, engineering, quality, and site leadership to deliver reliable output, strong service to customers, and disciplined execution against business goals. The ideal candidate will bring experience leading complex plant operations, developing budgets and plans, and fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture.

Location:

Detroit, MI - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $250,253 – $305,864 annually

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team dedicated to producing innovative products.
  • Manage operational excellence through effective strategy and decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and security standards.
  • Optimize supply chain performance to meet customer demands swiftly.
  • Develop strategic plans and budgets focused on continuous improvement.
  • Promote inclusive practices to enhance workplace culture.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
  • Ten years of experience in quality, product/process/project engineering, or manufacturing.
  • Five years of experience in a management role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Plant manager experience in a complex organization is a plus.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
