Marketing Intern

Job Summary

Two Marketing Interns will be hired to support event-related responsibilities during the summer concert season.

Essential Job Functions

* Assist and/or individually execute marketing and publicity activities at events

* Point of contact for radio remotes

* Point of contact for radio/tour media promotions night of the event

* Escort photographers/videographers to designated areas, front of house, to shoot artists according to tour policy

* Main point of contact for reviewing press needs night of the show

* Execute box office media and promotional will-call needs on the night of the show

* Assist the Marketing & Communications department with additional projects, including digital, media promotion, and publicity as directed.

* Familiarity with Facebook, X, Tik Tok, and Instagra,m with the ability to post before, during, and after events

Education / Experience

* High School Diploma required

* Previous internship experience recommended

* College students recommended with a preferred concentration in marketing, communications, business management or a related field

Minimum Skill & Abilities

* High level of resourcefulness, initiative, and good judgment setting priorities and handling multiple tasks simultaneously

* Effective verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills & Abilities

* Knowledge of the Detroit Media Market

* Knowledge/Interest in the Event Marketing Industry

Working Conditions

* Frequent visual/auditory attention

* Moderate to high noise level

* Evening, weekend and holiday hours required
