Northland Community Church (McBain, MI) Lead Pastor — The Big Picture
Northland Community Church is seeking a Lead Pastor who is a committed follower of Jesus Christ to guide our congregation towards spiritual growth and community engagement.
The Church
Northland Community Church (NCC) is located on M-66 between Lake City and McBain. Founded in 1991 as a non-denominational church, NCC aims to provide a welcoming environment where the Bible is taught as God’s perfect word. The building was constructed in 1996 and has since added worship space, classrooms, the Sunshine Chapel for children, a modern kitchen, and a separate youth building.
The campus sits on 43 acres with more than 12,000 square feet of facilities. NCC’s average Sunday worship attendance is 70, with 43 members. Basic Training (children’s church) averages 15 kids on Sunday morning.
Characteristics
- Doctrinal Adherence: Must be in full agreement with our church constitution and doctrinal statement.
- Theological
Education:
A seminary degree is preferred but not required. Formal training in pastoral ministry and a firm grasp of theology are essential. - Pastoral
Experience:
Previous Lead Pastor experience is preferred but not mandatory. - Motivated and Relational: Self-starter capable of building strong relationships within the congregation and community.
- Effective Communication: Able to teach and preach the Word of God in a way that inspires, encourages, and admonishes.
- Evangelistic Heart: Passion for sharing Jesus with unbelievers; will lead outreach and evangelism efforts.
- Leadership Style: Collaborates with church leaders to develop and implement a strategic vision for spiritual growth, discipleship, and ministry effectiveness.
- Leadership Development: Commitment to mentoring and developing leaders within the congregation.
The Compensation
$60,000-$69,000 plus benefits
