This full‑time position offers a salary of $70,000

The Manager, Discover Works supports the implementation and continuous improvement of Discover Works, for which United Way for Southeast Michigan (UWSEM) serves as the fiduciary and local implementation partner. This role works collaboratively with school districts, community-based organizations, and internal stakeholders to support high‑quality program delivery, strengthen partnerships, and ensure successful execution of Discover Works initiatives. The Manager serves as a resource to providers and contributes to the application review process.

  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, and engagement of Discover Works providers, including school districts and community-based organizations.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with provider partners and community stakeholders.
  • Provide technical assistance, resources, and implementation support to Discover Works providers.
  • Monitor program activities and help providers meet program requirements, timelines, and expectations.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze program data to support reporting, continuous improvement, and decision‑making.
  • Coordinate meetings and communications for Discover Works partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support program implementation and participant engagement.
  • Maintain awareness of regional OST opportunities, resources, and community partnerships that may benefit Discover Works providers.
  • Represent UWSEM at meetings, community events, and partner convenings related to Discover Works and OST learning.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials to support program operations and stakeholder engagement.
  • Support special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Understanding of K–12 education systems, youth development programs, or community‑based organizations.
  • Experience supporting program implementation and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships with a variety of partners.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze information and use data to support recommendations and program improvements.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in education, Social Work, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
  • 3-5 years of experience working in education, youth development, out-of‑school time programming, nonprofit organizations, or related fields.
  • Experience coordinating programs, projects, partnerships, or community initiatives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and data management tools.
