• Conducting thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating tailored care strategies
• Diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic conditions either independently or in collaboration with physicians (depending on your credentials)
• Educating patients and families on wellness, prevention, and disease management
• Prescribing medications and therapies according to your practice scope
• Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care management
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care
• Documenting meticulously and accurately in electronic medical records (EMR)

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Recent graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Michigan
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or secured within 90 days)

• Strong communication abilities with patients, their families, and fellow staff

• Proficient in EMR systems and comfortable with telehealth technologies
