Clinical Research Nurse
Perform nursing functions independently and in collaboration with physician investigators to ensure that the objectives of an established research protocol are met and in compliance with IRB and sponsor guidelines. Identify and recruit patients into study protocols as needed, provide educational and emotional support to patients enrolled in the study protocol, manage study documentation and data collection, and prepare and monitor budgets as needed.
Support physician investigators and other clinicians as necessary to facilitate project participation and compliance. Engage in both drug and device trials, ranging from phase 1 to 4.
- Perform nursing functions independently to meet research protocol objectives.
- Collaborate with physician investigators to ensure compliance with IRB and sponsor guidelines.
- Identify and recruit patients into study protocols as needed.
- Provide educational and emotional support to patients enrolled in the study protocol.
- Manage study documentation and data collection for the study.
- Prepare and monitor budgets as necessary.
- Support physician investigators and other clinicians to facilitate project participation and compliance.
- Registered Nurse certification is a must.
- 3 years of nursing experience.
- Experience in cardiology.
- Clinical research experience.
- Experience with device trials.
Skills & Qualifications
- 1 year of research experience.
The team currently consists of 3 coordinators: 2 nurse coordinators and 1 non-RN coordinator. The role includes 8-hour shifts for orientation, which can transfer to 10-hour shifts after a 90-day orientation period. Flexible start times are available between 7-9am.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Detroit, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.00 - $52.00/hr.
