Registered Nurse RN Ambulatory Urology Contingent - Detroit
Traveling will be required to the following Ambulatory Clinics:
Detroit, Dearborn, Plymouth and Wyandotte
Candidate preferences: RN Urology and Procedural experience a must. Ambulatory/Clinic experience preferred such as in-basket, patient assessments, phone triage, medication refills, etc.
OverviewGENERAL
SUMMARY:
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principle investigator.
- Provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care using the nursing process.
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document care and teaching of patients and families; communicate with the health care team; supervise and delegate as needed.
- Work independently and in collaboration with the principal investigator; maintain clinical competence.
- Travel to Ambulatory Clinics as required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor Degree preferred. Successful completion of HFMG Pharmacology test. Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services and communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical group personnel. Preferred experience in the specialty.
Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS or ACLS per HFHS policy. Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard, e.g., ACLS or OCN.
