Registered Nurse (RN) – Float Pool

Detroit, Michigan – Children’s Hospital of Michigan (DMC)

Staff – Ongoing

36 hours per week, 12‑hour shifts (Float Pool)

As part of the Patient Care Services Team at DMC, the RN will lead nursing care, delegate and assess patient activities, collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals, and monitor patient progress to facilitate safe discharge.

• Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians and other health care providers.
• Delegates, assesses, provides and evaluates patient care.
• Provides and delegates patient care activities to team members.
• Monitors patient progress and prepares patient for discharge.
• Reports directly to senior unit management and participates in shared decision‑making activities.

• Graduation from a school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
