Travel ICU RN – Jackson, Michigan
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking an ICU RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Jackson, Michigan.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive critical care to patients in the intensive care unit.
- Assess and monitor critically ill patients, operate life‑support equipment, and administer advanced treatments.
- Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring, including arterial lines, central venous pressure, and pulmonary artery catheters.
- Administer complex medications and treatments in accordance with approved critical care nursing techniques.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort in high‑acuity ICU environments, addressing physical and emotional needs.
- Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record in a timely manner to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding the ICU environment, treatments, and recovery expectations.
- Communicate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care.
- Maintain proficiency in critical care procedures and technologies through ongoing education and training.
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and hospital safety protocols.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance ICU patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
- One year of recent experience as an ICU RN.
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification.
- Proficiency in critical care skills, advanced clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and commitment to patient safety.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Physical abilities: must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.
- Technical/motor skills: ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.
- Mental requirements: ability to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure; function under close supervision occasionally and independently.
- Sensory: must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate.
