Job Description –

Be the heart of compassionate care in a patient‑care support role with us! In this vital role you will provide essential assistance and comfort to patients, ensuring they receive the best possible experience during their healthcare journey.

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), vitals, ambulation, and other duties within the scope of a patient care technician or equivalent.
• Work under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, who delegates tasks based upon patient needs and the Nurse Extern’s skills.
• Report any deviations from expected patient parameters to the registered nurse promptly.
• Provide patient care that may vary in type and frequency by unit or service line, reflecting the nature of the patient population served.
• Receive instruction, mentorship, and ongoing feedback from the assigned RN.

• Applicants may start the program 6 months before graduation from an accredited school of nursing and must pass all senior courses to remain in the program.
