Position: CLINICAL CARE COORDINATOR (Ambulatory Care- Center for Reproductive Medicine-Bloomfield Hills )

Responsibilities

  • Provide culturally sensitive, age‑specific, team‑based nursing care for patients seen at the Center for Reproductive Medicine.
  • Coordinate the Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) program, including patient tracking, data monitoring, education, assessment, and quality assurance.
  • Direct patient and family education, counseling, support, and collaboration with other healthcare providers; provide education to nursing staff, students, fellows, residents, and the community.
  • Manage care and education of patients undergoing ovarian induction, controlled ovarian hyperstimulation, and male factor infertility treatments.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team (social workers, embryologists, physicians) regarding patient care.
  • Support clinical and translational research and follow standard‑of‑care patient management and investigational clinical trial protocols.
  • Assist physicians with clinical activities and medical procedures such as intrauterine insemination, sonohysterograms, hysteroscopies, and ultrasounds.
  • Participate in conferences, continuing education, and staff development programs to maintain current knowledge.
  • Assist physicians during procedures and monitor IV sedation and recovery.
  • Participate in clinic‑wide quality assurance programs, root‑cause analyses, and facilitate implementation of telephone triage and inbox management, including triage calls and messages from patients, families, clinicians, and other team members.
  • Perform phone triage, including assessment, screening, clinical advice, education, in‑person or video visits, in‑clinic hands‑on procedures, and other duties assigned.
  • Accurately and efficiently document nursing care.
  • Use internal and external resources appropriately.
  • Supervise assistive personnel; collaborate with colleagues and community services to promote continuity of care.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, problem‑solving, prioritization, customer service, interpersonal communication, reliability, adaptability, and patient/family education skills.
  • Proficiency with typing and electronic health record documentation; manage complex clinical issues using assessment skills, protocols, and evidence‑based interventions.
  • Adapt to different populations—including pediatrics, OB/GYN, and adult medicine—as patient demands evolve.
Qualifications
  • Current Michigan registered nurse license.
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or an associate degree/diploma in nursing plus a master’s degree or higher in nursing.
  • Three years of recent RN experience providing direct care to patients receiving reproductive endocrinology and fertility care in an office or clinic setting.
  • Current ACLS credential by start date.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certification in Reproductive Endocrinology and IVF nursing through the American Society of Reproductive Medicine.
  • RN experience with OB/GYN patients in the ambulatory care setting.
Benefits

Hourly range for RSAM Competent Registered Nurses: $43.10 – $67.03 per hour.

Shift differentials:

  • Evening Shift Differential – $3.00 per hour
  • Night Shift Differential – $4.00 per hour
  • Day Shift Weekend Differential – $2.90 per hour
  • Evening Shift Weekend Differential – $5.90 per hour
  • Night Shift Weekend Differential – $6.90 per hour
  • Charge Nurse Differential – $1.00 per hour
