Overview

• Full-time schedule: 5:00am – 8:00pm, 3 days per week including rotating Saturdays with Sundays off
• Oversee a group of 17 dialysis patients with the partnership of up to 3–4 fully trained PCTs
• Compensation increases as you complete different levels of training and take on more responsibility

• You must have a flexible schedule and be able to work 16‑hour shifts including weekends and holidays

• 30%: Supervises and provides direct patient care including vital signs, initiation and termination of dialysis, documentation, physical assessment, treatment administration, transcription of orders, and drawing/documenting laboratory work
• 20%: Provides dialysis therapy per physician orders, manages ultrafiltration, verifies safety measures, administers medications, and documents activity
• 20%: Analyzes patient assessments and laboratory data; flags concerns to the physician; documents observations; communicates emergencies and life-threatening events to supervisor and medical leadership
• 15%: Assesses patient and family learning needs; provides information on renal disease and dialysis treatment; contributes to short- and long-term care planning and monthly progress notes

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school required;
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; three-year diploma may substitute for a nursing degree
• Experience in related areas is helpful but not required: ICU/CCU/ER/Med-Surg
• Certification:
  Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) preferred
