Registered Nurse
- Ambulatory OBGYN Clinic (Full-Time) Days-Detroit
Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Implements and monitors patient care plans.
- Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
- Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Will be managing in basket, triage, patient education, fmla forms & assist with quality measures.
- EPIC
experience and/or Athena experience

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principal investigator when appropriate.
Will cross train to other offices/depts within Women's Health services but all depts are at St john Moross (obgyn, resident clinics, etc)

Days, 8-hour shifts Working Hours Varies Between 745-830AM start and between 345-530PM end of shift
No weekends or holidays,
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation.
Fetal non-stress testing experience required.
Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty.
Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel.
Preferred experience in the specialty.
Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES
REQUIRED:
Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
1 year as a RN in women’s health (birthing center, ob, etc)
Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy.
Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard, i.e., Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
