Job SummaryUnder general supervision of the manager for the specialty area, participates as a member of a multidisciplinary team to provide consultative nursing services within a clinical area of specialization. Serves as a patient advocate and provides emotional support and home care instructions for patient and family; provides ongoing staff and community education and supports the implementation of outreach/outpatient programs.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Michigan.
- Specialty certification by professional organization, preferred.
- A minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience, including one year in area of specialization.
- Two to three years Pediatric nursing experience, including one year in area of specialization, if in a pediatric setting.
- Pediatric acute care experience preferred.
