- Maintains accountability for coordinating the care of trauma patients in order to ensure an organized, multidisciplinary approach for management of quality patient care both internally and externally in a trauma care system consistent with the criteria outlined in the most current edition of the American College Surgeons (ACS) "Resources for Optimal Care of the Injured Patient".
Requirements:
- BSN Nursing.
- Current MI License required.
- Master's degree in nursing or business or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in the care of trauma patients.
- Advanced skills in critical care nursing required.
- Pertinent certifications related to the care of trauma patients (TNCC, ENPC, ATCN, TCRN)
- Management experience with background in budget oversight strongly recommended.
- A high level of interpersonal skills required to coordinate the multiple services.
- Analytical abilities required in order to evaluate the quality of care provided to trauma patients.
- Ability to maintain flexible working hours required.
Physical Requirements:
- Visual, hearing, and verbal abilities required in order to provide patient care, instruct personnel, and maintain records.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently under deadlines, high volumes, and multiple interruptions.
- Prolonged periods of mental concentration.
- Analytical ability required in order to evaluate the quality of care provided to trauma patients.
- Ability to maintain flexible working hours required.
