The Orchards Michigan, located in Douglas, MI, is currently seeking CNA Students to join our team.
No prior healthcare experience or CNA certification is required. We will sponsor selected candidates to attend our partnering CNA school and cover the program expenses.
You will begin by working as a Hospitality Aide in the facility for approximately two to four weeks. This gives you time to get to know our residents and team, become familiar with the skilled nursing environment, and show your commitment to providing excellent care. You will then attend our partnering CNA school. After graduating, you will return to the facility for training and work while completing the state CNA certification process.
CNA StudentDuties and Responsibilities:
Support residents and staff as a Hospitality Aide during the initial two to four weeks
Help with nonclinical tasks, such as delivering meals, keeping resident areas tidy, and responding to requests by notifying the appropriate staff member
Build positive relationships with residents and learn the facility’s routines and expectations
Attend and successfully complete the CNA program through our partnering school
Return to the facility after graduation to complete orientation and begin working under appropriate supervision
Assist residents with daily living activities as permitted by your training, role, and applicable requirements
Observe residents and report concerns to the supervising nurse
Follow all facility policies, professional standards, and federal, state, and local requirements
Maintain the confidentiality of all resident and facility information
Qualifications and Skills:
No current CNA certification or healthcare experience required
Availability to work as a Hospitality Aide for approximately two to four weeks before attending CNA school
Ability to attend and successfully complete the CNA program through the facility’s partnering school
Commitment to taking and passing the state CNA competency examination and obtaining certification within 120 days of returning to the facility after graduation
