Essential Functions (Job Duties):Unique Duties:
- Perform bioinformatics and statistical analysis of large-scale datasets and interpret results in collaboration with laboratory investigators.
- Develop, implement, and maintain computational tools and data analysis pipelines.
- Manage and organize bioinformatics data, ensuring integrity, reproducibility, and accessibility.
- Generate data visualizations and contribute to figure preparation, reports, and manuscripts.
- Provide input on study design and analytical approaches.
- Assist in the preparation of publications and grant applications.
- Maintain awareness of emerging bioinformatics methods and tools.
- Participate in laboratory meetings and collaborative research activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree preferred in bioinformatics, computer science, data science, or a related discipline.
- Experience with large-scale omics data (e.g., RNA-seq, genomics, epigenomics).
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or R.
- Experience in statistical analysis and data science.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a research environment. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
