- We are seeking a Clinical Research Grant Manager to support clinical research activities within a large healthcare and academic research environment. This individual will provide grant and financial management support across clinical research programs, with a focus on either pre-award or post-award grant administration depending on experience.
- The ideal candidate will have experience working within academic research, healthcare research, or the pharmaceutical/clinical trials industry and possess a strong understanding of clinical research operations, study budgets, and the financial principles associated with clinical trials.
- Support pre-award and/or post-award grant administration for clinical research programs.
- Review and interpret clinical trial budgets, grant budgets, and associated financial documentation.
- Assist with the development, review, and ongoing management of research study budgets.
- Gather and incorporate salary, effort, and personnel-related costs into grant and research budgets.
- Partner with investigators, research teams, finance, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate financial planning and administration.
- Monitor research funding, expenses, and budget performance throughout the lifecycle of a grant or clinical trial.
- Understand and apply the basic financial and operational principles of clinical trials.
- Assist with financial reporting, reconciliations, and other post-award activities as applicable.
- Utilize research and healthcare systems such as Epic and OnCore to support clinical research operations and financial management.
- Help ensure research funding and grant activities are managed in accordance with institutional, sponsor, and regulatory requirements.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in clinical research, grant administration, research finance, pharmaceutical research, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience supporting pre-award and/or post-award grant management.
- Strong understanding of clinical trial budgets, research funding, and financial management.
- Ability to independently review budgets and collaborate with research and financial stakeholders.
- Previous experience within an academic medical center, university research environment, pharmaceutical company, CRO, or healthcare research organization.
- Experience with Epic and/or OnCore.
- Knowledge of clinical trial budgeting and research finance.
- Experience gathering salary and personnel information for grant or study budget development.
- Understanding of sponsored research and the overall grant lifecycle.
