Role DescriptionWe are looking for a high-energy Business Development Representative (BDR) to generate new sales opportunities by prospecting, cold calling, and qualifying leads. This role is focused on opening doors and booking meetings for the Director of Sales with qualified decision-makers. If you’re competitive, resilient, and motivated by performance, this role is a great entry point into a high-growth sales organization.
Job Responsibilities- Conducts outbound outreach via email or phone to dealerships and commercial prospects nationwide.
- Introduces Future Energy’s value proposition and secures calendar-booked meetings.
- Identifies and researches prospective clients that align with our ideal customer profile.
- Schedules calls directly using shared calendar access.
- Maintains accurate records of conversations and notes into CRM (Zoho) and established lead tracker.
- Follows up on unanswered or busy leads with 1–2 additional call attempts.
- Meets weekly call volume (300+ calls).
- Collaborates with sales, marketing, and leadership to refine messaging and targeting.
- Represents the company with credibility, curiosity, and professionalism at all times.
- Participates in occasional training/touch-base meeting with Sales Director.
- Meets or exceeds 500 outbound calls per week.
- Sets appointments that result in 10 completed meetings per week.
- Ensures alignment of personal and Company goals and objectives.
- Completion of mandatory training by established deadline.
- 1–3 years phone-based sales experience preferred (cold calling or appointment setting ideal).
- Strong communicator who is comfortable engaging decision-makers.
- Motivated by goal-based compensation.
- Familiarity with automotive or EV space helpful, but not required.
- Interest in building a career in sales, account management, or business development helpful, but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to track multiple outreach efforts.
- Experience with CRM tools (or willingness to learn).
- Ability to personalize messaging and think critically about prospect needs.
