This role focuses on consultative selling of advanced anti‑aging and skincare solutions, building long‑term partnerships, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. The BDM manages the full sales cycle—from prospecting and relationship building to post‑sale implementation and account optimization—while ensuring compliance and profitability.

This position supports the Michigan territory, and candidates must reside within Detroit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed territory sales objectives through strategic planning and disciplined execution.
  • Develop new business opportunities by identifying, qualifying, and converting prospective accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, practice managers, and key decision‑makers to drive product adoption and loyalty.
  • Conduct consultative sales presentations and product demonstrations, leveraging clinical data and brand strategies.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, including account demographics, sales history, and pipeline activity.
  • Deliver practice development support, including staff training, marketing strategies, and patient engagement programs.
  • Manage sample inventory and ensure compliance with company guidelines.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and clinical advancements through ongoing education and company‑sponsored training.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with marketing, operations, and clinical teams to optimize customer experience.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and educational programs.
  • Uphold company values of integrity, compliance, and ethical business practices.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of proven sales experience in a quota‑driven role; aesthetics, dermatology, medical device, or specialty pharmaceutical experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success using consultative and value‑based selling techniques.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and ability to identify market opportunities.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% within territory.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and self‑motivation.
  • 4+ years of aesthetic sales experience or related field.
  • Expertise in practice development and business planning.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Ability to problem‑solve and make decisions quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, and digital tools; comfort with leveraging AI‑driven insights and social media for business growth.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset—“thinks like a business owner”.
  • Digitally savvy and adaptable to emerging technologies.

Experience

  • 8+ years industry experience in medical aesthetics, skincare, or pharmaceutical sales preferred.
  • Former aesthetician or clinical background is a plus.
  • Must be based in a key market within the territory and willing to travel locally and for national meetings.
  • Competitive base salary plus commission.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and 401(k).
  • Professional development and career growth opportunities.
