Who we are looking for:

At Arcelor Mittal, we are looking for someone to join us at the forefront of the steel industry. As an Automotive Account Manager, you’ll have exciting developmental opportunities to promote some of the most advanced and sustainable steel products, collaborating within a multi‑disciplinary team, including Global R&D, and supporting customers on their journey to electrification and carbon neutrality. As part of our Sales team, your contributions will be visible all around you, within the company, and with our strategic automotive customers.

As a representative of Arcelor Mittal North America, you will support unified customer interactions and contribute to the success of both Arcelor Mittal Dofasco and AM Calvert.

The account manager supports accounts based on product and/or market segments and is seen as a sales business liaison, advocating for their customers internally while considering internal business goals.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage Account Plans that align with company and Sales & Marketing objectives, including customer profiles and actionable strategies.
  • Monitor performance against sales targets and key metrics; identify and implement corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular in‑person engagement, responsive service, and effective contract and expectation management.
  • Track customer satisfaction using delivery, quality, and feedback metrics, and implement strategies to enhance overall experience.
  • Handle day‑to‑day customer negotiations on issues such as claims, freight, and other operational topics.
  • Collaborate with commercial, technical, and manufacturing teams to meet goals related to profitability, volume, pricing, quality, delivery, service, and product development.
  • Review and manage OEM KPIs and scorecards, ensuring accurate updates and clear communication with OEM partners and internal teams.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly reports assigned.
  • Support Customer Service and Technical Service teams with account‑related topics and customer concerns.
  • Contribute to a team‑focused environment through backup support, cross‑functional collaboration, and participation in projects or special assignments.
  • Support internal goals related to inventory management, payment performance, and explaining billing or volume variances versus forecast.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries regarding products, delivery, availability, order status, and RFQs or spot orders.
  • Serve as the product expert for assigned accounts, clearly identifying customer needs and providing performance insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Share relevant customer, market, and business intelligence with the broader Sales & Marketing organization.
  • Participate in annual business planning (ABP), monthly forecast updates (MRF), and ongoing sales call planning using CRM tools.
