Account Manager / Specialty Account Manager – TEPEZZA

Represent TEPEZZA to physicians and health‑care professionals, establish product sales, and manage territory accounts within a designated geographic area. The role involves building strong customer relationships, driving product demand, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring compliance with industry and corporate guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive territory business plan aimed at achieving and exceeding annual sales goals.
  • Promote TEPEZZA within approved labeling in a comprehensive, fair, and ethical manner consistent with industry and corporate legal and regulatory guidelines.
  • Address access, pull‑through, and reimbursement issues by coordinating with key stakeholders and matrix teams.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by understanding and communicating customer needs and goals.
  • Consistently meet or exceed corporate sales goals.
  • Communicate territory activity accurately and timely as directed by management.
  • Drive product demand by educating on disease state and product information.
  • Provide feedback to sales and business unit leadership and other internal departments about changing environments and results.
  • Adhere to the Company’s compliance policies, guidelines, and industry codes (e.g., PhRMA Code).
  • Collaborate closely with patient services and market access team members to achieve business goals.
  • Coordinate accounts and relevant Amgen field teams to support full range of account needs.
  • Educate healthcare professionals and office staff on site‑of‑care options.
  • Attend medical congresses and society meetings as needed.
  • Manage efforts within the assigned promotional and operational budget.
  • Maximize use of approved resources to achieve territory and account level goals.
  • Complete all Company training classes successfully.
  • Complete administrative duties accurately and timely.
  • Serve as a contributing member of a high‑performance team.
  • Perform other tasks and responsibilities as requested by the Company.
Basic Qualifications (Level
4)
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry, or hospital sales experience.
  • Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience within the same industries.
  • High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience within the same industries.
Basic Qualifications (Level
5)
  • Doctorate degree and 2 years of collective account management, sales, and commercial experience.
  • Master’s degree and 6 years of collective account management, sales, and commercial experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of collective account management, sales, and commercial experience.
  • Associate degree and 10 years of collective account management, sales, and commercial experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Buy‑and‑bill experience with documented success; or biologic/infusion experience.
  • Sales experience in Endocrinology, Ophthalmology, and/or rare/specialty disease states.
  • Site‑of‑care and reimbursement experience.
  • Experience working with institutions and integrated delivery networks.
  • Pharma account management sales experience and ability to coordinate across field teams.
  • Approximately 80% travel, including some overnight and weekend commitments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Professional, proactive demeanor.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Benefits & Compensation

Salary ranges for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) are:

  • Account Manager – Level 4: $145,311 – $196,597
  • Specialty Account Manager – Level 5: $158,931 – $215,025
