FLSA Status: Full Time/Part Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt
SummaryIndustrial Sites - The Security Officer ensures efficient and professional security operations at worksites within the appointed region. This position is a working level Security Officer who actively works onsite, securing the client’s property, location anddeterring suspicious activity. Security Officers will report any suspicious activity immediately to the site lead on location. This position will be scanning vehicles inand out of lots, providing radio checks and working closely with Client Management.
- Work to ensurethe assigned premises and/or people are kept safe and secure
- Work closely and cooperatively with staff at assigned premises to ensure they are safe andsecure
- React and respond quickly to dangerous/hazardous situations
- Monitorassigned location with high degree of attentiveness to surroundings
- Communicate effectively to site team using assigned radio
- Identify and correct inefficiencies, liabilities, and safety hazards at work sites
- Provide detailed information to authorities as needed
- Other dutiesas assigned by supervisor and/or management
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations withtact, professionalism, and diplomacy
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail is a must
- Safely and legally operate a motor vehicle
- Refer to the Standard Operating Procedures in Employee Manual regarding Use of Force
- Must be ableto sit, stand, bend, or walk for 100% of the shift as needed
- Must be ableto quickly ascend and descend stairs and move as needed to secure premises
- Must be ableto quickly de-escalate and/or respond to security orsafety threats.
- Must have excellent visual and auditory acuity to see, hear, and interpret observablepeople, things, behavior, and speech
- Must be ableto lift up to 25 pounds
- Full-Time orPart-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt
- Both indoorsand outdoors possible, regardless of weather
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’sLicense and be able to provide documentation
- Law enforcement,public safety, or military experience preferred
