Position Overview
As a Protective Security Officer Lieutenant serving on a Federal Government contract, you will be responsible for maintaining security, enforcing regulations, and ensuring the safety of personnel and property. You will provide oversight to the guard force, uphold the highest standards of professionalism and vigilance, and maintain situational awareness at all times. You must arrive on time and ready for duty, demonstrate respect and courtesy in all interactions, and adhere to strict grooming and uniform standards, including maintaining shined boots and a professional appearance.

$18.00/hr while in training then $35.60/hr
Health and Welfare $5.38/hr
Responsibilities- Inspections of posts and PSOs throughout the month, which may involve traveling to out‑state posts in a company vehicle.
- Delivery of uniform orders, post supplies, and company documents.
- Manage post books (memos, duty book, company folder).
- Collect end‑of‑the‑month paperwork from all posts.
- Teach SMART Book training if necessary.
- Fill open shifts during on‑call weekends.
- Issue discipline.
- Assist with new‑hire training when needed.
- Fill call‑offs and shifts as required.
- Obtain a Top‑Secret clearance through the company to visit the FBI post.
- Order and maintain uniform stores.
- Work at a federal government office that is subject to frequent interruptions, long periods of sitting, standing, or walking; extended hours, nights, weekends, holidays, outdoor conditions, high noise levels, gunfire hazards, extreme temperatures, chemicals, etc., may be required.
- Demonstrate strong physical fitness, the ability to respond and engage in physical conflict, move quickly, and respond effectively to emergencies; must have visual and audio acuity with heavy equipment and firearms; may need to wear a respirator; must stand for extended periods without breaks; may need to climb stairs or ladders and walk up inclines or uneven terrain; must meet all physical and psychological standards;
travel may be required. - Other duties as assigned by the captain and/or the Contract Manager.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident who is currently a member of, or possesses a verifiable honorable discharge from, any component of the United States Armed Forces.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a Social Security Card issued by the Social Security Administration.
- A minimum of two (2) years of security (armed) or one (1) year of law enforcement experience in a full‑duty status with a full‑service police department in a municipality, state, or federal enforcement department within the US, and have resigned or retired in good standing; or
- A minimum of two (2) years of honorable service as a member of any U.S. Armed Forces component.
- Firearms training and qualifications; company certifications must meet state/federal certifications.
- Fluently speak, read, comprehend, and compose coherent written reports in English.
- Familiarity with securing facilities and/or vehicles at a fixed location.
- Physically capable of standing a 12‑hour post.
- High school education or GED equivalent.
- Ability to pass a background investigation.
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screen.
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment physical exam.
- Ability to pass MRPT suitability requirements.
- Demonstrable exceptional proficiency with a handgun.
- A minimum of two (2) years of successful experience in field supervision (civilian community law enforcement, military service law enforcement, or commercial/industrial security force service).
- No disciplinary actions in the last 12 months.
