As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Enhanced Part Time in China, MI, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts when it works for you.

$16.96 / Hour

Day Time Sun  06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”):
  You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six‑month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program:
  In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next – it’s all up to you.

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and help verify entry and exit activity in accordance with site rules, visitor procedures, and/or restricted area requirements.
• Support daily operations by communicating with site personnel, following post orders, and completing required reports related to patrols, incidents, and/or customer interactions.

• Must be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Must be available for last minute shift scheduling.
• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
