Under general supervision, performs a variety of routine complex security/safety/parking work functions in the performance and supervision of security staff, as well as protects life and property by supervising and performing security work. Reports to the Security Supervisor/Leader and under general supervision is responsible for the coordination of daily shift activities. Performs all the duties of Security Leader whenever assigned by the Director of Security or designee.

• Requires the job knowledge, skills and abilities of an HFHS Security Officer/Security Police Officer or the equivalent in work experience and must have currently received a satisfactory or above performance review in all areas.
• Completion of IAHSS Supervisory and Safety training programs within the first year required.
• Must demonstrate strong management and communications capabilities.
• Must display excellent customer service skills and behaviors as outlined in the HFHS' Customer Service Policy.
• Work requires interpersonal skills that key in on quality customer service initiatives along with the leadership skills necessary to supervise assigned personnel.
• Must have ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions.
• Must have ability to follow and give verbal written instructions.
• Must not have been convicted of any criminal activity.
• Must have ability to train and supervise subordinate personnel, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with subordinates, peers, supervisors and the general public.

• Requires certification under public act 330 within the first year of performing this role or at the first offered classes in the tri-county area.
• Must possess a valid, unrestricted Michigan driver's license that meets HFHSP minimum standards.
