We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting Fiber Construction Technician to join our team. This role will involve working on a variety of projects related to the construction, installation, and maintenance of fiber optic networks. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technology and a team of highly skilled professionals. This position involves both office and field work, offering a unique blend of technical and hands-on tasks.

Salary: $20 - $30 per hour.

• Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic cables, both above ground and underground.
• Conduct site surveys to determine the best routes for cable installation.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to design and develop fiber optic networks.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant codes and regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fiber optic networks.
• Provide technical guidance and expertise to clients and team members.
• Prepare and present reports on project progress and other relevant matters.
• Assist with project management tasks, such as planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in fiber optic technology.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecom construction, specifically with underground cable.
• Proven experience in fiber optic network construction and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of fiber optic technology and its applications.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using various tools and equipment used in fiber optic cable installation and maintenance.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to different work sites.
