The HVAC Controls Technician / BAS Programmer will be responsible for installing, programming, commissioning, and servicing building automation systems (BAS). This role is ideal for a technician with strong HVAC controls experience who is comfortable working in field environments and collaborating across mechanical and electrical trades.

• Install and wire HVAC controls and BAS components in accordance with project specifications
• Program and configure controllers such as Tridium (Niagara), Distech, Honeywell, or similar platforms
• Commission and troubleshoot DDC systems to ensure proper operation and performance
• Interface with mechanical and electrical trades to coordinate system integration
• Diagnose and resolve field issues related to HVAC controls, networking, and automation
• Maintain accurate service documentation and logs
• Assist with customer walkthroughs and basic client training on system functionality
• Support ongoing service and system optimization efforts

• 7-10+ years of experience working with HVAC controls and building automation systems
• Strong familiarity with DDC systems, control strategies, and networking fundamentals
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, control schematics, and mechanical drawings
• Experience commissioning and troubleshooting BAS systems in commercial or industrial environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in the field

• Niagara (Tridium) certification or comparable BAS certifications
• Experience with Distech, Honeywell, or similar control platforms
• Exposure to mission-critical or complex commercial facilities
• Strong communication skills and customer-facing professionalism

• Ability to work in active commercial and industrial facilities
• Ability to climb ladders, access rooftops, and navigate job sites
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to safety and compliance standards
