Shop Foreman; diesel - Detroit, MI

Martin Transportation Systems has an opening for a Working Shop Foreman at our Detroit, MI terminal. This position would be overseeing a 3‑shift operation with standard day hours.

• Oversee a three‑shift workshop operation and manage daily operations.

• 3+ years of diesel mechanic experience
• ASE certified
• Knowledge of Cummins and Detroit engine systems
• Understanding of tires and maintenance costs for tractors and trailers
• Experience maintaining inventory management
• Familiarity with Outlook and basic Excel skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Professionalism in employee management and customer service
• Transportation or automotive management experience is a plus
• Knowledge of OSHA and DOT compliance is a plus
• Demonstrated track record of achievement and success
