Role Overview
Certified Journeyman Electrician – installs, maintains, and repairs all electrical equipment and machinery, including power (less than 600 V) and lighting systems. Responsibilities include diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and the installation of conduit, control panels, generators, transformers, motors, battery chargers, and fire watch cables.
Key Responsibilities- Install and maintain production equipment cameras.
- Fabricate brackets, supports, and hangers for electrical equipment installation.
- Perform general facility electrical maintenance: testing and repair of lighting and power circuits, cranes and hoists, limit and proximity switches, outside lighting, gate barriers, and LAN cables.
- Execute general machine electrical maintenance on production equipment such as welders, heaters, electro‑magnetic tools, lathes, mills, grinders, CNC machining centers, gantries, and battery chargers.
- Service, troubleshoot, and repair test stand and furnace systems and circuitry.
- Maintain electrical components and systems on engine carriers.
- Handle recovery movement and adjustments for gantry failures and cat tracks.
- Screen and maintain the HMI system.
- GED or high school diploma required.
- Certified Journeyperson card holder or ability to document at least eight years of experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States permanently at the time of application.
- Must successfully complete a pre‑employment drug screen and a criminal background check.
- Ability to work effectively with production teams, engineering, service technicians, and management staff.
- Position is not open for visa sponsorship or existing visa holders.
Hourly rate of $38.20, with a shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Approximately 15 paid holidays per year.

Location & Work HoursWork is onsite in Detroit, MI. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
