Kerry Brothers Truck Repair is seeking a dependable Mobile Service Technician to provide on-site maintenance and repair services for commercial trucks, trailers, buses, and fleet equipment throughout Southeast Michigan.
As a Mobile Mechanic, you'll operate one of our fully equipped service trucks, responding directly to customer locations to perform diagnostics, repairs, preventative maintenance, and emergency roadside services. The Mobile Service Technician is responsible for safely diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial trucks and trailers at customer locations. This position requires strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Technicians are expected to represent Kerry Brothers professionally while providing efficient, high-quality repairs that minimize customer downtime.
- Respond to scheduled service calls and emergency roadside breakdowns
- Perform diagnostics on diesel engines, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and air systems
- Complete preventative maintenance services including oil changes, lubrication, filters, and fluid services
- Perform DOT inspections and document findings
- Diagnose and repair charging and starting systems
- Repair lighting, wiring, and electrical faults
- Diagnose and repair air brake systems
- Repair suspension and steering components
- Perform wheel end repairs including hubs, bearings, seals, and brake components
- Replace belts, hoses, water pumps, alternators, starters, batteries, and other engine accessories
- Perform minor hydraulic and PTO repairs
- Complete trailer repairs including lighting, air leaks, brakes, and suspension
- Utilize OEM diagnostic software and scan tools
- Accurately document repairs, labor, and parts used
- Maintain inventory and cleanliness of assigned service truck
- Communicate repair recommendations and equipment conditions with customers and service advisors
- Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety procedures
- Deliver professional customer service while representing Kerry Brothers in the field

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of heavy-duty truck, trailer, or diesel repair experience preferred
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
- Experience with diesel engines, air brake systems, suspension, and electrical systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to obtain or maintain a CDL (preferred)
