Detroit Aggregate is looking for a Diesel Mechanic to perform maintenance on our fleet of Class 8 trucks and construction equipment.

Starting Pay: $35/Hour Monday - Friday:
Shift 1: 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM or Shift 2: 6:00 PM to 4:00 AM Medical, Dental and Vision benefits Life insurance Paid Time Off Year Round Work!

• Use of service vehicle for off site road calls when needed
• Repair diesel trucks, trailers and heavy equipment in a timely and efficient manner
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper working condition
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery
• Repairing and troubleshooting of major components such as engine, transmission, and differentials
• Tire repair
• Landing gear repair

• 1 year of experience
• Basic set of tools
• Experience working on hydraulics, concrete mixer trucks, gravel train equipment and diesel trucks
• Experience working on heavy equipment such as loaders and excavators
